The local U.S. Green Building Council affiliate for the Emerging Green Builders - UW Madison Group (UWEGB) is the Wisconsin Green Buildiing Alliance (WGBA). UWEGB servers as a special committee of students to the WGBA. Students who wish to become members of UWEGB are required to pay membership dues to the WGBA. Dues paid to the WGBA are designated for UWEGB funding, and serve to support future UWEGB activity. As a member of the WGBA and The Emerging Green Builders - UW Madison Group, students will benefit from the following advantages:

  • Receive the quarterly WGBA newsletter "GreenSpeak"
  • Receive special mailings
  • Invitations to peer networking and educational speaking events at a discounted rate.
  • Receive a copy of our printed resource directory and membership listing.

The cost of student membership is $25 per semseter or $40 per year - which can be paid to either Co-Chairs Joshua Clements or Seve Ponce de Leon, before or after meetings. Membership checks can also be deposited in the EGB Office located in Room 1091 Engineering Centers Building during building hours (please place in an envelope). Make the check out to Wisconsin Green Building Alliance and write Emerging Green Builders on the notes line.

Aside from being a great bargain, a student membership is also a great way to build a network of professional peers while still in school
